a Patch-worked soul and a bound heart

A patchworked soul and a bound heart.

I look in the mirror
and my sould looks back
Its been wounded and
theres nothing i could do
patches of it are
different colors,

My heart tells me
that that's because
I've been hurt
to many times and
how i tried to pick my life up

But my soul argues,
and says it's because
i love so many people
that I've given pieces of
my heart and soul with it
that the others returned

who do i listen to?
My bounded heart
who seems to be arrogant and wounded?
or my patched up soul who
seems wiser

My soul just smiles at me
the blue, i remembered
showed up after i met
a dear friend of mine
and our trust gained.

I remember the green patch
was another appeared later
when blue introduced me to
green, orange,black, and
purple, who are there spread out

My family of course is there
Bright red, white, a lighter shade of orange,
yellow and violet,
they are special,
even if one is in the heavens

My heart has also gone out
with the pieces of my soul
and so it is also patched.

Holes are places where the person
has taken they're piece of soul back
and i couldn't retrieve mine where my
heart was shattered and had to be fixed

This is my soul
patched up
like somebody tried to
create somebody out of everybody
but failed

this is my heart,
who is relunctant
to be given out
and advises not to
to keep what i have left

But my soul disagrees,
and says that it's ok to
hand a part to people whom
you love and trust,
and that yes you will be hurt by some
but you will be healed by others

I can't seem to stop believing
what my soul is saying
But i heed my hearts advice

a broken heart
and a shattered soul
is not fun to go through
especially if you have to
pick up the pieces alone.

It seems as though
my heart has to be
constanly reassred that
I'm loved even when
my soul is patchworked
and my heart bound.

But, the bonds of some
have not broken, and
some can not ever be broken
easily while some are
new and fragile

But my soul is with me,
even if my heart disagrees,
and i have all those who love me
for me
even with my patcheworked soul

But they helped create the person
i am today
and i will forver keep changing
my soul always staying patch worked
with new colors and old some disappearing
with age and others strenthing

and my heart will always be bound
also patchworked with bonds
and other pieces of hearts that
are given over time
